The Cook High Chess Club
Mission Statement

• To bring together chess players in the Cook County School System and the community who would like to share their hobby and interest in chess with each other.

• To provide an organized chess tournament venue for competitive-minded Club Members and persons in the Cook County community.

• To promote increased knowledge and understanding of the game of chess for its own sake as an art and as an intellectual sport. The Cook High Chess Club seeks to foster the development of its Members as chess players and enhance their appreciation of “The Royal Game”.

• Membership in the Cook High Chess Club is open to anyone interested in chess, regardless of his/her experience or playing ability.

• The members will have a tournament at the end of the school year.
